Goal net installation and Jacaranda relocation
The nets have been installed behind the goals on Oval 1, with the help of a crane. This will help stop any footballs from straying too far from the boundary of the oval.
The new owners of the six Jacaranda mimosifolia have been carefully nurturing the trees since January this year so that they will be in the best of health for their removal and relocation. As was provided in the West Australian Planning Commission's Forward Works Development Approval advice notes, these trees are to be relocated away from Lathlain Park. The relocation will occur over three days in late June and the trees are going to new land subdivisions in Wellard, Banjup and Baldivis.
