Rayment Park works continue

April 6, 2017

The new playgrounds are proving to be a hit with young and old, particularly the nature play area. Work is continuing in other parts of the park, including:

  • The old playground has now been removed. It has been recycled and donated by the contractor to a WA rural community.
  • The gazebo has been repainted and a new picnic bench has been installed. Power points and lighting have also been installed.
  • The new shelter, barbecue and another picnic bench have been installed. The barbecue and lighting is expected to be operational by early next week.
  • The flying fox has been fitted with locks that will make it available for use between 7am and 7pm, due to some late night noise concerns.

March 9, 2017

Kids will now be able to enjoy natural elements like wood and stone during their play time, with the completion of the nature play area. There is a large variety of elements and activities, including:

  • rocks
  • limestone steppers
  • musical instruments
  • swings
  • spiderweb
  • bridge
  • decks and balance beams
  • and a boat!

There is new fencing around the boundary, with panels bordering the senior kids' playground and bollard fencing around the rest of the reserve.
